dc.description.abstract | This paper presents the advantages and disadvantages that you have to use a HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) on a wind generation system, as indicated also produces electricity using wind as a primary source, the different types of wind turbines and their constituent parts, fields of application of wind generation and wind farms that exist in Ecuador in operation and currently study also presents the definition of HVDC systems, their constituent elements, types of connections and configurations the process to convert electricity from AC to DC and vice versa, is a table of comparison between HVDC and HVDC Light Classic.
It indicates that there are advantages and disadvantages to using a HVDC transmission as a means of interconnecting wind generation systems and conventional power grid. | |
