Propuesta de rehabilitación estructural de una edificación patrimonial de madera, ubicada en la parroquia Esmeraldas, cantón Esmeraldas, provincia Esmeraldas, en el año 2021

Abstract

The present project aimed to develop the proposal for structural rehabilitation of a wooden heritage building, located in the center of the city of Esmeraldas. With a land area of 579.2 m2 and 201.2 m2 of construction, whose construction period lies at the beginning of the 20th century. After making the technical visit to the building, it was found that it has a deteriorated state of conservation in many of its structural elements. Therefore, an analysis of the current structure and its strengthening has been considered. The diagnosis of the house was made through the visual inspection carried out, where the most information was collected about the present problems and a photographic record was also made, later through the diagnostic and treatment sheets the lesion of the structural element or elements, the possible causes were identified and the rehabilitation process is suggested according to the nature of each case. As a result of external agents and the lack of appropriate intervention, the roof structure is the most deteriorated, so it must be completely replaced. A structural analysis was carried out, using the ETABS program and concluding that the original structure does not meet the seismic resistant condition according to the NEC for vibration modes, so structural reinforcement was carried out. The roof was designed and the structure was modeled with the designed roof and the proposed bracing, verifying that it does meet the seismic resistant conditions proposed by the NEC. Finally, the budget and a schedule have been prepared, in order to publicize the total cost of the proposed rehabilitation interventions for each case and the time of execution of them.
