dc.description.abstractPropose a bus body design to decrease the effects of the kinetic energy produced by a collision on the occupants is the final hypothesis of this research project. This will be achieved based on existing legislation, INEN to design a structure that fully adopted, establishing a field study of current structures, and changing its external structural part with elements of tubular section. Computational analysis by the finite element software ANSYS CAE demonstrate the feasibility of this design, and a study similar models physically show us the difference between the proposed structure against a conventional face the same conditions in a frontal collision.
