This thesis has been developed at the Azuay Cerebral Palsy Institute (IPCA) with children suffering from cerebral palsy, the main objective was to provide a support tool in the communication area, through a Basic Needs Transmitter, which consists of software and hardware designed and adapted to their needs. The system developed is controlled using wireless connection, and consists in two transmitters and one receptor. Each of the transmitters has a collection of buttons that represent the children´s needs.
