Resumen
This project details the development of an electronic prototype capable of controlling the speed of a vehicle with electronic fuel injection so that it safely enters the curves of Simón Bolívar Avenue to contribute to the reduction of traffic accidents in a road whose loss ratios are worrisome.
The system consists of an algorithm that identifies the curves of the Avenue, then recognizes the curve closest to the current location, then analyzes the information about the radius of curvature and the parallel in order to calculate the maximum entry speed for that the vehicle does not lose the path of the road. An electronic circuit was designed that receives information from the algorithm and reads the vehicle speed through the help of an OBD II scanner, this circuit takes control of the acceleration pedal and inhibits it in the event that the vehicle speed exceeds the permitted speed of Enter the curve, and thus prevent the driver from increasing the speed of the car.
Tests were performed to verify the operation of the circuit and the algorithm. The algorithm was able to recognize 96.15% of the curves in a determined section; in addition, the electronic circuit of the pedal limited with small errors the speed of the vehicle.
