Resumen
This document details the characteristics
of the non-linear loads that are connected
within the electrical distribution systems
and they are defined according to the type
of load to which they belong, these being
the main elements of generation of
harmonics (THD) towards the net. In the
document, a control for an active power
filter with single-phase shunt (SPAFs) is
proposed as an effective solution to lower
THD. It should be taken into account that
SPAFs are single-phase passive filters that
are connected in series and due to their
components it is shown in the system as an
additional component, for this reason it is
proposed to implement three-phase
capacitor banks that are capable of
maintaining the profiles of voltage in
acceptable values, improving the quality
of power due to the electrical phenomenon
that occurs due to harmonics. It is also
detailed that in this document four case
studies are shown where the serial
implementation of the SPAFs is carried
out together with the bank of three-phase
capacitors on the IEEE 14-bar AC / DC
hybrid system. bars with a greater
harmonic problem, finally a comparison
will be made regarding the percentage of
THD as the main variable, all the work
will be simulated in MATLAB /
SIMULINK, this being a program to
validate results using graphs and tables.
