Resumen
The project contains three chapters, the first is the collection of information from more
recent investigations, together with the learning of it, different flow patterns are defined,
which delimit regions in flow patterns maps. Different flow pattern maps according some
authors are defined on this chapter, in order to predict several two-phase flow regimes in
horizontal tubes, which serve to identify the flow patterns during the evaporation process
at different mass velocities, heat fluxes and pressure of saturation. Main components of
the flow pattern map are mass velocity on the vertical axis and vapor quality on the
horizontal axis.
Chapter two shows equations encountered by different methods of algebraic solution,
made by several authors such as Kattan, Steiner, Thome and Wojtan, among others, which
become the most significant researchers in the flow patterns map area, during the
evaporation process in horizontal tubes. Starting from variables of quality, temperature
and heat flux, in order to obtain dimensionless values of peripheral and transversal area of
the pipeline, thus the limits of flow patterns of each author for their respective delimiting
graphical interpretation are obtained.
In the last chapter, results are showed, using the most accuracy methodology to predicts
the flow patterns maps, which was presented by Wojtan, the flow patterns obtained from
experimental data are presented, a comparison with the graphs obtained from other
refrigerants and future improvement of the machine used for data collection. Heat flux
being a low data that should be realized, if it is going to be compared to previous studies.
