The purpose of this case analysis was to know the barriers presented by learning, a student of the career of Social Communication in the use of the virtual learning environment of the Universidad Polytechnical Salesiana.
A theoretical approach was carried out related to the evolution of virtual learning environments, the postulates of universal accessibility and the current regulations on accessibility to virtual learning media.
This is an investigation into a qualitative methodology, in-depth interviews, accompaniment reports, support planning, and process diaries in periods 53 and 54, focused on the difficulty of accessing the QALY and its academic difficulties.
The problem that originated in this research was, the problem of what is learned, visual education, higher education, access to the virtual learning environment of the UPS (AVAC).
The main findings were found in the student W.L. it does not have use of the QALY, that the QALY is not totally accessible for people with visual disabilities, in addition there is a lack of knowledge on the technical accessibility standards that must exist in a learning platform.
