dc.description.abstractThe present work was carried out with a study on the design and simulation of a base station, with the integration of cellular telephony, where advanced 3G and 4G technologies were used, to generate universal benefits such as sending and receiving messages, voice calls and especially network access. This study began with the knowledge of the current state of wireless telephony coverage, which served to perform the simulation of 3G and 4G coverage in the Cabuyal Campus of the Santa Lucía canton belonging to the province of Guayas, thus knowing the functionality of this. It is located in a rural area with little coverage, which translates into a considerably lower rate of access to TIC (Information and Communications Technologies); that is, it affects the socio-economic activity of the Cabuyal Campus and the main access road.
