Resumen
This work shows the milking practices developed in milk producing areas in Ecuador, so parameters to improve them
can be set and prevent contamination of the milk produced and also a control according to the conditions of each area.
Therefore, the purpose of this research was to determine the influence of milking practices on milk quality according to
the size of production units in the main provinces with the highest milk production in Ecuador with a view to improving
the BPO and hence better milk price to producers. Besides, to characterize the milking technology systems in different
production units, according the surface, the system of production and agro-ecological areas of dairy production. Finally
to note the implications of good milking practices on milk quality by microbiological analysis.
