dc.description.abstractThe content of metabolites presents in the alcoholic and aqueous extracts of the tangerine peel (Citrus reticulata) was evaluated by phytochemical screening and subsequent using the DPPH method the antioxidant activity of the extracts was compared with a commercial antioxidant drug, determining that the alcoholic extract has greater antioxidant capacity. To verify this result, statistical analyzes were carried out, which indicate that the alcoholic extract has a greater antioxidant capacity.
