Resumen
This work has been carried out to determine through research the approach to the reality of people who have various impairments and their active participation within a traditional media such as radio. A phenomenological method is applied due that it consists of studying phenomena as they are experimented in the human sense. The research sample will focus on the population with impairments as well as the comparison between public policies and radio shows with impairment topics in four Latin American countries such as: Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia and Argentina, that were chosen because of the idiomatic similarity being one of the main factors. For a better understanding, there is a historical narration about the management of rights for people with impairments centered in Ecuador from 2007 to 2019 and a brief history of radio development process until 2019. The research is interpretive as it will explain the essence of the actors’ experiences and the procedure that will be applied to a radio show of the different countries where an interview with structured questions will be conducted as well as the collection of information through official websites if there is no contact for the interview because of the mixed information sources. The collected experiences are systematized in the results that show the big resemblance between the four countries and the active participation of people with various impairments. The results of this investigation will show the similarity of experiences in radio shows, which have as their drive the public policies that support these projects of inclusive radios.
