The health emergency caused by COVID-19 has radically and unpredictably changed the competitive environment within the construction sector, affecting companies, micro-enterprises and businesses dedicated to the sale of hardware items. In this context, in order to face the conditions of the economic and labor environment, companies need to access productive credits, which will promote the economic reactivation and sustainability of the sector. This article aims to show the effects that requesting said credit has caused on companies. To analyze this relationship, surveys were applied to the owners of hardware companies during the following months. The main result was that companies, micro-companies and businesses dedicated to the sale of hardware articles decreased their income, which is why most entrepreneurs seek to reactive their business through a product loan. It was concluded that the effects of Article 10 of the Organic Law of Humanitarian Support are beneficial for the reactivation of the hardware sector, it is worth mentioning that not all business are aware of this alternative provided by the State.
