dc.description.abstractThe Latin American people have been the result of an ideological political and economic struggle provoked from before the conquest to the present day. However, the conquest played a decisive role in the identity construction of the Latin American subject, since the conquerors imposed their ways of thinking against political structures. Cultural and social already raised previously. The slavery and oppression to which indigenous and Afro-descendant peoples were subjected, although, under different conditions, they caused the loss of their self-knowledge, alienation and alienation, since their function consisted only of carrying out activities that were not so useful for man. Later, with independence, philosophical thought was taking shape, its struggle centered on the ability to achieve historical consciousness and philosophical consciousness, through the educational system. For this, the hermeneutical method is proposed, a philosophical method that seeks to start through language to make possible interpretations of the realities of Latin America in order to discover the interest behind the word. Likewise, it is important to analyze the presence of philosophy in the Ecuadorian context, considering authors who are experts on the subject. The method used in this research was the inductive method, since it has started from precise research on Latin American thought to give rise to a holistic investigation, with this the analytical-synthetic method was also used to demonstrate the presence of Latin American philosophical thought as a primordial element in the identity reconstruction of the Latin American subject in the current context.
