A survey was conducted with a aleatory sample of 385 people in Guayaquil, in order to determine their personal perception about medicinal Cannabis. Semi-structured interviews were also conducted with experts on CBD issues and its regulations. Among those interviewed were Representatives of the regulatory body, producers’ association members, merchants, health personnel, and activists; Quality assurance, health benefits, are the main motivators for buying this type of product. The price of a 25 ml bottle in the "irregular" market in Guayaquil fluctuates between $ 15 and $ 30. Conclusion: the synergy between the Endocannabinoid System (SEC) and Phytocannabinoids (CBD, THC, CBG, etc.) and their therapeutic benefit are the factual basis on which a million-dollar industry is currently being built and built. However, consumers are not aware of the CBD, SEC and the Law. A barrier to the ethical and reasonable development of this industry in Guayaquil.
