Resumen
The project of THE DESIGN OF CONSTRUCTIONS OPERATING UNDER CONDITIONS OF
VARIABLE MASS DYNAMICS includes consideration of three types of hydraulic constructions:
lateral spillways, front catchments with horizontal grating, and subsurface drainage pipes. The
lateral spillways have wide application in the direct surface catchments as flow control elements.
The catchments with horizontal grating and receptor gallery have current acceptance in mountain
catchments. The subsurface perforated pipes, in which the ones of the drainage are found, have
wide application in the aquifer utilization and subterranean flow control.
For each of these cases, the model and calculation algorithm have been formulated based
on the DMV theoretical principles. For that matter, from the general differential equations that
apply to all processes in which the variation of the moving mass takes place, the specific equations
relevant to each case have been deducted and integrated.
The application of the algorithms has allowed, on one hand, to analyzed and solved
particular problems for the three mentioned types of constructions and, on the other hand, to
investigate the incidence on the results of several parameters characteristic of the models used by
the DMV and, finally to compare the results with the values of the results obtained by the
simplified methods, normally utilized.
