dc.description.abstractThe following article details the career of Lankester Botanical Garden's researcher Franco Populin. His work within this institution has generated an important growth for the research of orchid species in Costa Rica. This article will also present one of his most important findings, Trichocentrum pupulinianum, a type of Orchidaceae that bears his name in honor of the arduous research work done by Pupulin in the discovery of this new species.
