| dc.description.abstract | The following research contemplates the subject of Social Interest at Gran Area Metropolitana (GAM), precisely in Canton of Cartago. In order to carry out this research, the aspect of the conceptualization of model CDI of Plan GAM 2013-2030 that is considered to achieve a high-density model under the Plan Regulador de Cartago norms. The research is developed such as an alternative proposal under the technical and legal requirements of current legislation. This iniciative comes from the “Herramienta para el monitoreo del Plan GAM 2013-2030” Project, in charge of Centro de Investigaciones en Vivienda y Construcción CIVCO.
First chapter involves introductory aspect for the topic, proper research alignments, accurate methodology, and implicated performers.
Second chapter involves supporting theories of the investigation based on related topic such as territorial ordering, social interest housing and general housing features.
Third chapter analyzes results of PLAN REGULADOR with GAM 2013-2030 PLAN. It also determines the CDI as the urban model in order to locate the lot and generating urban principles of preliminary draft.
Forth chapter develops characteristics of San Francisco District of Agua Caliente consulting INEC and national legislation.
Fifth chapter develops social housing preliminary draft in heights, displaying representations in two and three dimensions. Moreover it implements technical-architectonic-urban considerations, all of them taken into consideration during the investigation.
