A educação na Amazônia do “ouro negro”: o programa educacional da Icomi no Distrito de Santana/AP (1960-1984)

This work consists of the interest in understand the educational conceptions and actions of the company Indústria e Comércio de Minérios S. A. (Icomi), developed during the period of 1960 a 1984 in the Federal Territory of Amapa. Approaching an interface between education and fordism, aiming analyze the institution of the educational program “icomiano” based on the fordism model of production and social regulation related to the reinforced technical politics and consolidated in the country in this context. So, with this theme, we goal to analyze the relation between educational program of Icomi and fordism in the Amapá Amazon, with focus on Vila Amazonas School experience (Esvam) and the extracurricular projects. The relevance of this work comes from the need of making and understanding the history of education that was put into practice during this period of TFA, that go through beyond the institution and others policies in different times, also by the understanding the function that the icomian education had had to fulfill the play of transmit ideologies, particularly forming to work several Amapá generations. This way, the questioning that guided the work was the following: how did the icomian education occur to the concretization of the developing of fordism model in TFA? From this perspective, we defined as the local of work the Vila Amazonas, emphasizing the educational action that developed inside and outside the school. We focused on the period of 1960 to 1984 (the chronologic cutting of the research). The initial point, the year of 1960 indicates the time that the Vila Amazonas School started to work in the Santana District, with the begging of effectiveness of school educational actions, considering that the others social regulation actions of the company had already been solid on the occasion. The final temporal cutting, the year of 1984 delimits the time that Esvam stops to be administrated by Icomi and passes to be command by the Fundação Bradesco. By means of the analysis of newspaper articles, school registrations and specialized bibliography was possible to clarify the purpose of the virtuous work formation that could be instructed, disciplined and healthy to attends the demands of the machined production. It was equally to understand the meanders of a pedagogic program that would try to settle the fordism bases, forming the learning for the family life, for the work and serve the country well. It was verified, even, the little interest in human formation and encouraging the adjustment to standards from the beginning of school life. The schools records have evidenced a practice of selection and classification school that was oppressive and stigmatizing for those who presented any type of learning difficulty.
