Resumen
Early infancy in Latin-American countries
•Studies and early childhood interventions have demonstrated their relevance, but few studies have been conducted in Latin-American countries.
•Researches have shown cultural differences on a number of issues related to parenting and child skills, then studies that collect cultural specificity are increasingly important.
•Chile is a country where differences by socioeconomic and cultural status are higher than in the US or European countries, with specific parenting beliefs to each subgroup, and higher rates of maternal depression.
