Parental care corresponds to the set of activities carried out by parents to protect and feed their progeny and includes protection against predators, food and transport, among others. In mammals, the feeding of the young through milk is the most costly activity in the reproductive process. Thereforet it is unexpected the allunuersing in mammals, however it has been reported in 68 species. In this thesis the functionality of the aloamantamiento in guanacos is explored
