Resumen
Este capítulo, de carácter preliminar y exploratorio, pretende indagar acerca de algunas de las jerarquías étnicas y de clase presentes en los trabajos de cuidado de mujeres migrantes sudamericanas en ámbitos urbanos de Argentina. Para ello, retoma una noción amplia de cuidad que involucre, por un lado al conjunto de actividades que giran en torno al sostén cotidiano de la vida humana en el marco de dos dimensiones centrales: las disposiciones y motivaciones ético-afecticas y las tareas concretas de la vida diaria (Vega y Gútierrez, 2014:9-10) que pueden ser remuneradas o no y, por el otro, una noción asociada al mercado de trabajo remunerado que comprende las ocupaciones relacionadas con la prestación de un servicio de contacto personal que mejora las capacidades humanas de quien lo recibe(Esquivel, 2010: 530).
