The ever-changing environmental conditions constantly challenge plants with biotic and abiotic cues causing severe crop losses worldwide. These external stresses stimulate plant responses and adaptations. Priming, which is induced by chemical and natural molecules, has been known as a broad mechanism, which could certainly reduce the stress impact on plant physiology and growth. Reactive nitrogen species (RNS) production play an essential role as signals for the regulation of the stress acclimation in plants. In this chapter, we focus our analysis and discussion on how RNS can interact directly or indirectly with reactive oxygen species, reactive sulfur species, and other signal molecules.
