Resumen
Como parte de los procesos de formación estatal y modernización social de la Argentina en gestación, el problema del orden adquirió sentidos específicos durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. La dimensión simbólica de la praxis de los actores y, como parte de ella, la constitución de subjetividades y representaciones, fue un aspecto central de dichas transformaciones. Ciertas experiencias asociativas participaron activamente del establecimiento de esquemas de referencia discursivos, tejieron la trama discursiva que fue arena de definición de la norma, espacio discursivo-práctico de veridicción y delimitación de las prácticas, sobre orden y peligrosidad. Situados en la ciudad de Santa Fe, trabajamos sobre ejemplos de ello: los discursos de la Sociedad de Beneficencia de la Capital (SBC) y de dos periódicos locales. Buscamos, por un lado, ampliar el espectro de discursos considerados participantes de la construcción del otro social y, por otro, identificar los matices específicos que aportaron a dicha definición.
