The archaeological work in Las Chapas locality (Mártires, Chubut province) has made it possible to register archaeological sites in an area that did not have systematic investigations prior to our investigation. This presentation will report on eaves and caves carved in the Marifil Formation that present rock art. To date these representations seem to be restricted of painting. In this modality, geometric motifs and red monochrome pigment are common. The results obtained from registration and analysis of the sites and their plastic representations are presented in this work. With this, it is expected to delineate particular characteristics of the rock art of this locality to be integrated into the archaeological record of Chubut river valley.
