Resumen
This chapter examines the multiple functions of the dengue virus (DENV) genome, not only as a coding molecule for viral protein synthesis but also as a main regulator of viral processes. An overview of the viral life cycle is described, and the recent advances on functions of viral RNA structures, studies on the biogenesis and architecture of replication complexes and mechanistic studies about viral RNA replication are discussed.
