Catalogue of poaceae type specimens deposited in Gaspar Xuarez Herbarium (BAA)

Abstract

A catalogue of Poaceae type specimens, deposited at Gaspar Xuarez herbarium (BAA), has been made. A total of 2046 types (complete specimens and/or fragments of holotypes, isotypes, lectotypes, syntypes, topotypes, and paratypes) were included. The types are ordered alphabetically, including type specimen data cited in the original publication (T-Protol.) and that from specimen label (T-Specim.), the characteristics and procedence of the samples, and the up to date taxonomical identification. It also includes a CD with digital images of type specimens from 138 taxa described by Lorenzo R. Parodi, deposited at BAA. Lectotypes of Agrostis koelerioides, A. tehuelcha, Alopecurus aequalis fo. fluitans, Briza paleapilifera, Calamagrostis pflanzii var. major, Deyeuxia imberbis, D. nuda, Festuca neuquenensis var. aspera, Polypogon rioplatensis, Sorghum × randolphianum, and Urachne panicoides are here designated.
