Resumen
El artículo indaga los vínculos entre las políticas públicas de vivienda en la ciudad de Rosario, las relaciones del poder político y la construcción de identidades y políticas vecinales. El análisis pretende mostrar cómo a partir de la construcción de un complejo de viviendas públicas municipales conocido como "La Vivienda del Trabajador" se constituye primero una identidad vecinal, aglutinada por la semejanza del conjunto habitacional, y luego los adquirentes pasan a efectuar reclamos en pos de acondicionamientos urbanos. Esos reclamos constituyen la materia prima para la construcción, a partir del golpe de estado de 1930 y la crisis política ulterior de la forma partido, de un movimiento vecinal activo que intervendrá en los debates dentro de instituciones locales como la Convención Constituyente para la redacción de la Carta Orgánica de 1933 y del Concejo Deliberante de Rosario y que se constituirá en partido político bajo el nombre de Asociación Civil Liberación. La formación de la agrupación más destacada del vecinalismo rosarino de los años 1930s. es lo que en particular interesa a este trabajo.
