Resumen
La fascioliasis es una parasitosis cosmopolita, causada en América por Fasciola hepatica. Afecta principalmente a herbívoros, particularmente rumiantes, es también una importante zoonosis de distribución mundial. En Mendoza ha sido reportada con importantes prevalencias en herbívoros domésticos y silvestres. Son escasos los estudios sobre parasitosis intestinales que afecten a los bovinos en Mendoza y no se ha reportado cuales son las asociaciones parasitarias con F. hepatica, objetivo del presente estudio. Se tomaron muestras de materia fecal del recto de 645 bovinos de 12 establecimiento de la provincia de Mendoza, tanto de zonas de valles andinos 332 muestras, como de zonas de llanura 313 muestras. Se remitieron refrigeradas al laboratorio donde se realizaron las técnicas de flotación simple, técnica de Wisconsin (para cuantificar huevos y ooquistes por gramo) y técnica de sedimentación rápida de Lumbreras para investigación de presencia de huevos de F. hepatica. Se hallaron 326 (50,54%) animales positivos a algún parásito. Se diagnosticaron los siguientes parásitos: Fasciola hepatica (17,05%), estrongilidos (33,95%), Toxocara vitulorum (1,7%), Trichuris spp., Monieza spp. Nematodirus spp. (0,15%), Eimeria spp. (10,23%). Referido a las asociaciones de F. hepatica, el 76,36% de los animales parasitados por el mismo era una mono-parasitosis, asociado a estrongílidos (16,36%), a Eimeria spp. (3,63%), a Moniezia (0,9%) a estrongilidos y Eimeria spp. (2,72%). A pesar de que el hallazgo de huevos es estrongilidos fue lo más frecuente, las cargas parasitadas, inferidas por el hpg, fueron muy bajas con solo 4 animales con más de 100 hpg, por lo cual no será relevante ni clínica ni productivamente. Es llamativo que F. hepatica no se ha encontrado asociado a otros parásitos, lo cual probablemente se debe a la extrema resistencia y capacidad de este parasito de sobrevivir en zonas de climas áridos e inhóspitos, tal como el árido mendocino y zonas andinas.
