Resumen
La tecnología cerámica no es un ítem que tradicionalmente se espere encontrar en los conjuntos tecnológico de cazadores-recolectores. Se han planteado distintos problemas que llevan a pensar que esta tecnología no parece corresponderse con el modo de vida de las poblaciones móviles (Eerkens 2003). Algunas de ellas se refieren a las posibilidades de transporte y a los conflictos que pueden existir entre el tiempo que lleva la producción cerámica y la frecuencia de movimientos, junto con el tiempo insumido en el procesamiento y adquisición de recursos. No obstante, su uso se ha evidenciado en poblaciones móviles en distintas partes del mundo. Para entender su adopción por algunas de estas poblaciones es necesario abordar los contextos en los que aparece vinculando las condiciones ambientales, las prácticas económicas, las decisiones tecnológicas (Sturm et al. 2016) y los requerimientos nutricionales. En Patagonia meridional, nuestra región de estudio, durante el Holoceno tardío (últimos 2500/3000 años) y en especial debido a los eventos paleoclimáticos relacionados con la Anomalía Climática Medieval (ACM-circa 900 años AP); se señaló una baja de la movilidad residencial de las poblaciones cazadoras (Goñi 2010). Así, el objetivo de este trabajo es discutir el contexto y las circunstancias bajo las cuales se dio el uso de contenedores cerámicos en este tipo de poblaciones.
