Resumen
The clinical interest in the measurement of pulse wave velocity (PWV), as an indirect index of arterial stiffness, has led to the development of new devices whose characteristics and limitations are currently being analyzed in order to find an international standard. The possibility of performing an ambulatory PWV registration as with arterial pressure generates new fields of research and the development of new devices. In this work, we propose the development of a portable device with the ability to continuously acquire (beat to beat) two invasive blood pressure signals in large animals. The device can register, store and process 24 hours of 2 pressure signals, with a high temporal resolution. We propose an equipment that consist of an embedded system based on microcontroller LPC1769 and ADS1292 integrated analog front end, with Bluetooth connection for remote control and storage capability in a micro SD memory. We detail the hardware, firmware and control interface design, as well as the device measurements of autonomy and input noise level, emphasizing its versatility and robustness in the instrumentation of large animals
