The Maracaibo conspiracy, organized by dozens of black and mulatto sailors from Saint Domingue in alliance with a Marabino slave and pardo, implied one of the most important anti-slave movements in Venezuela and the most direct influence of the Haitian revolution in the colony. Although its history is known so far, there have been global accounts centered on the actions of the authorities and the leaders of the plot. In this 2 article, by analyzing the judicial documents, I intend to present a more complex narrative of the conspiracy by introducing the history of those other anonymous actor that also played a role in the movement.
