Resumen
Este capítulo analiza la vida política municipal en Córdoba durante 4 períodos: del golpe de Estado de 1943 al gobierno electo en 1946, el período de los interventores federales entre 1947-1949 y la etapa abierta con reforma de la constitución provincial en 1949. La investigación pone de manifiesto que el hilo conductor de las diversas etapas fue el avance de las facultades de los gobernadores sobre los poderes municipales. Revela, asimismo, las tensiones generadas por la cuestión municipal tanto en el interior del peronismo como en sus relaciones con la oposición.
