| dc.description | El creciente consumo de tabaco por parte de la población incrementa la posibilidad de que el humo del cigarrillo produzca modificaciones farmacocinéticas y farmacodinámicas en la terapia medicamentosa. En este trabajo se describen las interacciones del humo del tabaco con los medicamentos y las pruebas de laboratorio, así como los efectos que puede producir el hábito de fumar sobre ciertas patologías. El farmacéutico debe informar sobre este tema al equipo de salud y a los pacientes fumadores para favorecer un mejor diagnóstico y evolución de las enfermedades y lograr una óptima eficacia de los fármacos. | |

This work describes smoking and drugs interactions, tobacco and laboratory tests interactions, and the effects of smoking upon certain pathologies.
