Invisibilidad y problema de identidad de los migrantes en el mundo contemporáneo

Abstract

Este ensayo analiza el problema de la exclusión de los migrantes “ilegales”, que constituyen la fuente de mano de obra barata, de la posibilidad de construir su identidad personal. Propongo el término de la “triple exclusión” para describir la exclusión que sufren los migrantes indocumentados de la esfera pública, del acceso a los bienes de consumo y del mito nacionalista. Reflexiono sobre la de construcción de las ideas nacionalistas, mostrando su carácter ficticio. Para terminar, indico las posibilidades que incluye la propuesta de Hannah Arendt en torno a la esfera pública para construir una identidad “débil”.

This article analyzes the problem of the exclusion of the “illegal” immigrants who are used as a the low-cost labor from the possibility of creating their own authentic identity. I propose the term “triple exclusion” to describe the exclusion that prevent the “undocumented” immigrants from the identity construction and implies the exclusion from the public sphere, from the consumption and from the nationalist myth. I reflect about the deconstruction of the nationalist ideas, showing their fictitious character. To conclude, I show the possibilities of Hannah Arendt public sphere theory to construct the “soft” identity
