| dc.description | Esta investigación de carácter cualitativo es un primer intento de proporcionar una visión de la realidad social de la bibliotecología, de las ideas, la importancia, las opiniones, creencias y actitudes que se generan en torno a ésta. Su objetivo es dar a conocer las representaciones sociales que un grupo de jóvenes tiene con respecto a la profesión. Por medio de entrevistas individuales a diez jóvenes que culminaron los estudios secundarios, se encontraron algunos resultados como: no hay evidencia de un concepto de la bibliotecología como una profesión, el ejercicio profesional se relaciona exclusivamente con la biblioteca y el libro, hay un desconocimiento de la profesión y, por tanto, no es una alternativa profesional para los jóvenes | |
| dc.description | This qualitative research is a first attempt to provide a vision of social reality of the library, ideas, importance, opinions, beliefs and attitudes that are built around them. Its aim is to understand the social representations that a group of young people have towards the profession. It will be carried out through individual interviews with ten young people culminating high school. We found some results as: there is no evidence of a concept of librarianship as a profession, the practice relates exclusively to the library and the book, the profession in unknown and, therefore, is not a career choice for young people | |
