| dc.description | La cirugía LASIK se ha recomendado como una solución para la hipocorrección miópica o el cambio hacia la hipermetropía que experimentan los sujetos operados previamente por queratotomía radial (QR). <em><strong>Objetivo:</strong></em> determinar los cambios en la agudeza visual posLASIK en sujetos intervenidos anteriormente con QR. <em><strong>Materiales y métodos:</strong></em> se hizo una revisión de historias clínicas de personas con QR intervenidas con LASIK entre octubre de 2005 y septiembre de 2008, de los cuales fueron seleccionados 28 ojos (23 pacientes) que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión y exclusión; al 6.º mes fueron evaluados 15 ojos. <em><strong>Resultados:</strong></em> la agudeza visual (LogMAR) sin corrección preLASIK fue 0,65 (20/90) ±0,41, al 6.º mes (AVSC 6.º mes) fue de 0,43 (20/50-1) ±0,32; el equivalente esférico 6.º mes (EE 6º mes), -0,08 ± 1,72; el astigmatismo total al 6.º mes del LASIK (ASTTOTAL 6.º mes), -1,58 ± 1,14 D. El índice de aberraciones corneal de alto orden al 6.º mes del LASIK (RMSHOK 6.º mes) fue 1,86 ±1,11. La agudeza visual mejoró al primer mes (p = 0,001 {20/90 a 20/50+2}) así como el astigmatismo total (1,10 D p = 0,000). Clínicamente la diferencia de AV se mantuvo al 6.º mes (0,22 unidades LogMAR), pero estadísticamente no hubo diferencias significativas con respecto a la AV prequirúrgica (p= 0,348). Las demás variables no mostraron cambios significativos. <em><strong>Conclusiones:</strong></em> la visión mejoró en dos líneas de AV, lo cual, para este trabajo, podría explicarse por el cambio en el astigmatismo total. Se debe tener precaución en explicar 2 al paciente cuáles son las expectativas de visión que puede esperar después de la cirugía. | |
| dc.description | LASIK surgery has been recommended like a solution for the myopic hypocorrection or the change towards hyperopia experienced by the subjects operated previously by Radial keratotomy (RK). <em><strong>Objective:</strong></em> Determinate visual acuity changes post LASIK in patients with previous Radial Keratotomy. Materials and <em><strong>Methods:</strong></em> It was made a review of clinical cases of RK whom were operated with LASIK from October of 2005 to September of 2008, of which 28 eyes were selected (23 patients) who followed inclusion-exclusion criteria, but only 15 eyes assisted to the last control at 6 month. <em><strong>Results:</strong></em> Undercorrected visual acuity pre LASIK 0.65 (20/90) ±0.41, at 6th month (UCVA 6th) was 0.43 (20/50-1) ±0.32; spheric equivalent 6th month (SE 6th) -0.08 ±1.72; Astigmatism -1.58 ±1,14; Root Means Square Higher Order Corneal (RMSHOK) 1.86 ±1,11. VA improved at first month (0.29 p = 0.001 {20/90 a 20/50+2}) and the astigmatism pre and first month (1.10 D; p = 0.000), there was no difference clinically between pre LASIK and 6th month (0.22 LogMAR), but statistically VA changed (p= 0.348). Another variables didn´t show significance difference. <em><strong>Conclusion:</strong></em> Visual Acuity change in two levels, because astigmatism rise or decrease, however patients must be notice about the achievements that they can get after LASIK surgery. | |
