This book that deal with the tasks of automatic generation of summaries from a qualitative and quantitative standpoint. Firstly, the results of Turing tests carried out on machines that produce summaries at present in the most spoken and written languages such as English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian are presented with a view to finding out if a summary made by a machine has sufficient quality to confuse a human so that they fail to notice the summary was made by a machine. Later on, the integration and quantitative reports of the novel methods developed so far are presented, as well a comparison with the systems that generate automatic summaries is made.Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México
