Resumen
The technological and scientific discoveries that have emerged, especially from the
Industrial Revolution to the present day, collaborated to ensure that profound and rapid
changes, such as Climate Change, which are observed in the most different biomes in
basically all areas of the planet. This fact is observed through the most diverse
publications of scientific research, although the public, in general, ends up having access
to this information mainly through means of mass communication. This Master's thesis
was developed in the Postgraduate Program of Professional Master's Degree in Teaching
Sciences of Nature - PPGECN / UFMT and is within the scope of the International
Network of Researchers in Environmental Education and Climate Justice - REAJA,
linked to the Researcher Group in Environmental Education and Art - GPEA / UFMT.
Thus, it is necessary that, in schools, issues related to Climate Change - MC be discussed
with special attention to the teaching of physical, chemical and biological aspects and
their social implications, related to the concepts and curricular contents of Sciences of
Nature, highlighting the impact of anthropic actions in this complex context. Discussions
about MC, inserted in the educational process through an interdisciplinary approach,
would aid in the formation of a critical view on how humanity has treated the biosphere.
That said, this work was developed in order to understand if the students and the Didactic
Books - LD attribute the MC phenomenon to anthropic actions. The research had the
participation of scholarship recipients of the Scientific Initiation Grants Program - PIBIC
/ UFMT in partnership with the André Avelino Ribeiro State School, located in the city
of Cuiabá. We conducted an exploratory research, with specific bibliographic review and
analysis of the LD of Biology used in the school unit with these students. We use the
interview as an instrument of data collection aiming as a result the elaboration of an
educational product, in the form of a workshop script that will be available via the web.
The idea is to integrate the knowledge about MC so that students can understand how the
school curriculum contributes to a better understanding and change of attitude towards
vi
the impacts caused in the environment by the humanity and how the LD discuss the
perspective of the anthropic action towards MC.
