Uma análise do tratamento dado à trigonometria em livros didáticos do ensino médio publicados no Brasil em diferentes décadas do século XX

The main intention of this work is to describe and to analyze the appproach to Trigonometry
in some textbooks used in Brazilian high school, published in different historical moments
early XX century until the 1970 years, to verify in which extent the guidelines of the
pedagogical currents of the Mathematics teaching are evident. Therefore, the textbook may
be regarded as a source of research on the history of Mathematics teaching, since it can
reflect the main pedagogical currents in the social and historic context in which it were
published. In order to do that, the textbook will be regarded as a symbolic form. Then, we
may to apply the Hermeneutic of Depth as the methodological framework to analyse the
textboooks. This analysis consists of three dimensions: an analysis of social and historic
context in which the textbook was produced; an analysis of the internal framework of the
symbolic form; and a (re)interpretation obtained as a synthesis of the preceding ones.
