This work proposes a methodology for the creation of an automatic generator of alarm patterns for diagnosis of faults in electrical power systems to assist the operator of the system's control center in decision making after major contingencies caused by short-circuits. The main objective of this work is to create a tool to automate the creation of alarm patterns from the scanning of data from an electrical system. In this way, the work minimizes the practice of fault diagnosis methods and the time required to generate the minimum set of information that represents the operation of protection schemes of the supervision system. The generator was implemented in the MATLAB software, using a graph theory to model the system. The implemented system obtained satisfactory results, where 142 different alarm patterns were generated from the test system used.
