Considering that health promotion provides an increase of knowledge and skills in the population. Thus, it is believed that the main problem found within the public health environment is the disinformation of the population regarding the concepts, mode of transmission and prophylaxis of zoonoses, toxoplasmosis and leptospirosis. Aiming to provide adequate knowledge to the high school students (regular and EJA) of the "Escola Estadual de Educação Básica Tito Ferrari", in the city of São Pedro do Sul, RS, with the purpose of improving the quality of life of this students and of your community. Therefore, 73 questionnaires, called pre-tests, and 50 questionnaires, called post-test, were applied after the concepts were developed. Also, folders were provided regarding the topics addressed as educational information. Thus, it was observed that the main results showed that the contents related to the concept of zoonosis, transmission and prevention of toxoplasmosis and leptospirosis were fixed. For, before the lecture 32.8% of the students knew the concept of zoonoses and after, this percentage passed to 76%. There was an increase in the students' knowledge about the concepts presented on Toxoplasmosis and Leptospirosis, where before the lecture the percentage was 35.6 and 53.4% and after the presentation was 82 and 72%, respectively. This allows us to conclude that lectures and educational information for students were tools that can be used as a form of education and prevention of diseases.
