Inter-relações entre transgeneridade e direito: disputas e interdições à noção de dignidade da pessoa humana

Abstract

This paper presents a bibliographic research on the interrelationships between transgenderism and the actions, laws and bills of the State, as well as comparing some of the gaps in the legal field regarding the demands for recognition of trans and transvestite populations. The objective is to understand the role of the State in the field of enforcing the rights of these populations, especially emphasizing the constitutional principle of human dignity. Therefore, a discussion is held on the consolidation and challenges of making these rights effective, as well as observing existing bills, considered both progressive and regressive, which directly impact bodies and transidentities, and may redefine the future of trans citizenships.
