Políticas educacionais e gestão escolar: a relação entre família e escola

This study aimed to analyze the actions directed by the educational policy of a town called Estrela Velha / RS, focusing on family participation in school life of their children. Therefore, it was decided methodologically to conduct a qualitative study (MINAYO, 2001). Data collection instrument was used questionnaires that were applied to five participants. Data from this study were analyzed based on theoretical frameworks, which focus mainly on educational policies, democratic management and participation, as Paro (1997), Dourado (2007), Libâneo (2002), among others. The educational legislation also underwrote the study, such as: CF / 88 LDB / 96 PNE / 2014 PME / 2015. From this study, it was found that the school management and municipal educational policies influence the participation of families in the education of children. It was found that when there is monitoring of the family, children are more motivated and have more facilities to insert themselves effectively in the teaching-learning process. In this way, the dialogue was highlighted as an important aspect to strengthen the relations of institutions (family and school) because the school can encourage cooperative relationships with family, building a quality education for the students, with the participation of whole school community to build and decide the direction to be achieved.
