This work is based on a survey conducted with the school manager's public school system of the city of Fortaleza and aims to enable the construction of a socio-educational profile of these managers, which encompassed two dimensions considered primary missions: the first concerns to issues that deal with the initial and continuing training of managers and the second deals with the analysis of the understanding that these managers have the concepts related to school management and their adjectives (democratic, participatory and shared). The involvement of managers in the application of questionnaires, answering calls in, it is worth noting, is crucial for the practical foundation of reality concerning the proposal to reflect on making a real and concrete of a model guided by the school management decentralization participation and democratization of the teaching and learning.
