Museu Olívio Otto e a sua relação com o ensino de ciências nas escolas de ensino fundamental de Carazinho/RS

Museums are looking forward to specialize in order to provide the most useful
experiences to their audiences. Considering that most of the public visiting the Olívio
Otto Museum located in Carazinho/RS is made up of students, it is intended to verify
the links between the museums and particularly the Olívio Otto Museum, with
teaching in State Elementary Schools in Carazinho , Rio Grande do Sul. In the
museums, it is possible to approach the themes explored in some schools. Because
of this, they can play an important role in complementing the training school. The
interest of students and teachers through places of non-formal education was
evident, and the museums were listed as additional training of students and also
teachers. Olívio Otto Museum has a collection of around 18,000 items and is
structured in two centers: the Center of History and Culture and the Center of Natural
Sciences. Thus, in this study, the Olívio Otto Museum was demonstrated to be an
important auxiliary tool in science teaching, because through their exposures can be
made many relationships with this issue and other matters addressed in other school
subjects. By stimulating the visits to these places of non-formal education, managers
can encourage improvements in the quality of education in the town.
