A motivação na educação a distância: um estudo de caso do polo regional de ensino superior a distância de Sobradinho/RS

The mode of Distance Education (DE) is a milestone for education in Brazil and the
world. With the advancement of new technologies, it continues to expand
increasingly in public and private institutions, through technical, undergraduate and
graduate, becoming a reference in education for the country. The motivation here
approached theme is one of the main behavioral factors that has given people the
demand for courses in this type of education in order to achieve its objectives and
goals. This work is characterized by descriptive analysis, exploratory and
quantitative, with the overall objective to identify the motivational factors that lead
students Polo Regional Higher Education Distance Sobradinho/RS, to pursue a
course in education distance mode. From a questionnaire administered to students in
this teaching unit, we identified the motivational factors: accessibility, flexibility of
schedules and the recognition of the university. Other factors mentioned are the
three highest averages of 14 variables (Achieving higher my professional
aspirations), the variable 9 (Increase my chances of getting better jobs) and the
variable 11 (Improving my resume). One of the limitations found in this study was the
small number of questionnaires answered by students of undergraduate and
postgraduate teaching this unit.
