The theater is an ancient artistic expression, accompanying the man from the earliest periods of our history to the present day, as part of significant and complex system of human life and culture. Thus, Physical Education, as part of the curriculum components of the school, has the function of education to understand and transform the reality around us, involve and enable new learning and methodologies, such as the theater. The preparation of this monograph arose from the need to check the theater learning opportunities in Physical Education, to develop skills, identify methodologies, games and content related to theatrical practice. The main focus was directed to teaching practice of physical education teacher, involving the possibilities of theater work in their classes. This study followed a descriptive approach qualitative, using the information collected in the bibliography of the area. The sample was composed of five physical education teachers working in Primary Education Series Initials of municipal Esteio / RS. The interviews allowed the identification and description of the concepts related to physics and Theatre Education and possibilities for learning, teachers group. During construction since study was possible to understand the processes related to the use of games and exercises for the development of students and contribute to the debate on theater teaching methods in physical education classes. Is important to emphasize that the study showed that there is a possibility of the theatrical and dramatic work in physical education, moreover, students and educators can exercise creativity, enriching the knowledge and ultimately contribute in favor of education.
