Resumen
This study aimed to narrate assistance intervention strategies for expanded clinic in PHC, made
possible by a NASF-AB team, considering the demands of mental health in the territory covered
by the Family Health teams. As a method, we used the narrative of the experiences experienced
during the multiprofessional residency process. For a better understanding, it was necessary to
describe the context that guided it, such experiences, carrying out a work guided by the SUS
Principles and Guidelines. The multiprofessional residency program of UFSM implemented in
2010, has as pedagogical guideline the training of professionals with competence to work in SUS,
qualifying them in interdisciplinary, intersectoral and interinstitutional work. Building a logic of
integration between the various professional categories that make up the residency program.
NASF-AB presents itself as a powerful training field as it works in territorial and community
logic, unveiling the most diverse demands also in mental health. Thus, this study was built in
order to strengthen the actions performed by the professionals who make up the NASF-AB Santa
Maria as well as to envision shared care strategies, health and mental health promotion and
prevention actions and the use of resources such as the therapeutic project. It is concluded that
among the main challenges of the NASF in the mental health-primary care relationship, there are:
1) effective psychosocial care network; 2) qualification of the professionals of the family health
teams to act on the demands; and 3) Support from managers and specialized services in the actions that are carried out.
