This research has as its central theme the importance of school routine in early childhood education , emphasizing the educational reality of a Preschool in the city of Serafina Corrêa , Brazil. You can tell that the school routine is a pedagogical tool that teachers can use in the classroom as a methodological technique in learning since the routine will aim to facilitate child development. Regarding the methodology that justified this qualitative research was to instrument observations and the application of printed questionnaires . These issues were applied to eight teachers from public schools , which was intended to identify the understanding that the teachers have about the school routines . Also to point out which are the routines used by them and identify the importance that the routines have in the educational process in nursery classes, nursery and garden. From the data collected showed that the teachers follow two types of routines , which were seen as weekly and daily routines. Each class observed following a sequence of activities related to school routine , but the main feature that differentiates them in the aspects of types of routine tasks varies greatly by the needs generated by the child and every age group. At the end of this work it was found that these recurring actions of everyday school routine calls may assist in child development providing autonomy and promoting feelings of security in relation to the school environment and children's learning.
